On November 2, 2012 UNN international students participated in the Elections of the President of Cameroonian Association of Nizhni Novgorod. Happi Monti Gille Erve from Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering has won the elections. The short-term plans of the Association include the revitalization of sport and cultural activities of Cameroonian students, improvement of their academic progress and creation of an effective mechanism for the management of Association.

Cameroonian Association of Nizhni Novgorod has been established two years ago with the support of the Embassy of Cameroon in Moscow, Civil Committee for International Students of the Nizhni Novgorod Region Chamber of Commerce and N.I.Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod. Currently there are only two official associations of this kind in Russia – one in Nizhni Novgorod and one in Tambov.
